Tender Rebel Review



Lady Roslyn Chadwick is in dire need of husband. She is a granddaughter of a very wealthy duke who recently passed away. She promised to her grandpa to marry as soon as possible but it isn’t the only reason why she have to get married quickly. She have long distance cousin Geordie Cameron who really want to stake claim on her grandpa inheritance.

It is not an easy task for a rich heiress like her when she is 25 year old virgin who doesn’t have any suitor. Lady Roslyn is very pretty but she spent 6 years to nurse her grandpa and doesn’t have time to look for husband. So she come to London asking help to her friend who is a widow Frances.

On the other hand the famous formidable rake Lord Anthony Malory (Youngest from Malory brother) is avoiding every ball. He never like the attention. Not only for his good look but also he have pugilist skill which also famous and known as unbeatable make his appeal even more rising. The bad boy and dangerous aura is a magnet for the opposite sex. He had been given responsibility to take care of James Malory’s son Jeremy who will attend school in England while James (the infamous retire pirate under name Captain Hawke) settle his business in West Indies.

Regina Eden (read my previous post love only once review) is in town and need an escort to Crandal Ball’s because his husband isn’t in town. Jeremy will escort her because James has another plan for the night and Anthony doesn’t like ball at all. But this is first time Jeremy escort a gentle Lady and he affraid making appereance in society. Anthony compromise by attending the ball but he will wait outside at Crandal garden.

Back to Lady Roslyn, she finally agree with her friends to attend the Crandal Ball. But she feel so sufficated by the progress of her husband hunting so she go outside on the garden. There at Crandal garden Anthony and Roslyn first met. Anthony feel strange and strong attraction to Roslyn and decided to pursue er while Roslyn who have the same impression toward Anthony but know better that he is not a husband material so she better keep distance between them.

Next Roslyn get invitation for Lady Regina Eden party at her house in Silverley. She hesitate at first because she was afraid she will met sir Anthony which is Lady Eden acquintance but if she wants husband she need to make appereance in society, hence she decided to go to the party. Little did she know Lord Anthony Malory is indeed Lady Regina Eden’s Uncle.
As expected Anthony try to seduce Roslyn at the party. He even want help on Roslyn mission on husband hunt with hope she will come to him after getting married and being her mistress. Roslyn didn’t buy it (smart girl) but she can’t hide her attraction toward Anthony (well, not so smart).

After the party she abducted by her own cousin Geordie Cameron. She manage to run off and go straight to Anthony bachelor house. In that house Anthony was alone, at least with servant, because James and Jeremy is out for the night. He actually want to out too when his butler Dobson said he had a guest. He is surprised that the beauty Lady Roslyn is in his house.

Roslyn tell what happen to her which make her husband hunting to whole different level. It is at the point that anyone will do. But Anthony can’t help Roslyn to be anyone’s other than his and he make an offer for her hand instead of giving her potential husband. Roslyn laugh at his proposal because she think he must be joking. But Anthony was so dead serious about this matter and seduce her to consumate her first night earlier to seal and make sure her answer is a yes.

The following day they married at Silverley and Anthony convince Roslyn that he will be faithfull husband to her. She was so happy to hear that even if he still not saying that he love her. The following day Anthony and James search all over London to find Geordie Cameron to inform him about the wedding and want to warn Cameron not to bother Roslyn ever again. But he got no luck on finding him. She got an offer for a pleasureable night by a hot blonde bars maid but he refused and she settle for James instead.

At that bar he find suspicious conversation between two man and convince that it is Cameron who he searching for. But it unlikely happen bacause one of that man is actually a woman in disguise. This realisation shocked Anthony and that woman is intrigued James even more (wait this story on my next post ^_~)

When Roslyn found a blonde hair she was so furious with Anthony. So what will happen in their marriage? Does Anthony can convince Roslyn? And what happen about James and the mysterious women in disguise? Please find the answer on your own. Believe me this book is worth your time ^_^

My comment for the Indonesian cover is not really picturing or describe this novel and the interpretation of the title "Tender Rebel" in "cinta menaklukka segalanya" which means "love conquer all" is not suitable I think. But I love the castle picture anyway so the reader will not mistaken this book as historical romnce who have castle and lordship background for the story.

Gudeg Wong Solo (Food you can eat in Probolinggo)

I want to show you around my beautiful hometown Probolinggo, East Java, Indonesia. I gather my courage to post this because I saw a lot of tourist visiting Mount Bromo but only using my hometown to take train to another city instead of wandering and exploring Probolinggo. Sate Komo is baked meat skewed with spicy flavor. I also ordered orange juice for the drink. The price for my menu is IDR 21.000. BACT Opening Ceremony

August last year I joined Summer School Programme in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. The programme name  was BACT (Biodiversity, Agriculture and Culture in Taiwan). I wanted to share my experience in Taiwan here with you all. The first day started with introduction and welcoming from BACT Lecturer. Every participant was seated in the bench with name tag on it. So I quickly scanned the room and searching for Rizky Trisna Putri name tag on the desk. This name tag on the table help us a lot to recognize all the participant name. I was so happy that I got a nice souvenir because I can guess who is the first inisiator of BACT. They gave us a very nice and soft cake. They also provided us with dairy product of NTU. I love milk so much. I prefer cow milk than soybean milk (They give us both). Nevertheless I like it all the snack that given to us. They give us a black bag and in the inside there are a lot of usefull thing like raincoat, cap, bug sprayer, note, guid...
