Sambal Bawang Recipe (My kind of spicy things)

Hello guys, FYI there are a lot of spicy saus, we called it “sambal” in Indonesia. There is traditional sambal and a lot more different sambal recipe in all over area in Indonesia. For example people in Madura Island have a very simple ingredient for their sambal. They only blend chili and salt with traditional tools called “cobek” and “ulek-ulek” but modern people in Indonesia are use to use blender machine nowadays. I personally still use “cobek” and “ulek-ulek” while cooking because of the simple reason “too lazy to wash the blender machine” LOL.

Some people like to make “sambal korek” with the ingredient garlic, chili, salt, and oil. How to make “sambal korek”?? It actually very simple you only need to blend the ingredient. But it not the recipe I want to share today. I want to share my Mom ‘sambal recipe’ called “sambal bawang”

Tools:
Cobek and Ulek-ulek (or blender)

Ingredients :
Chili (as many as you like)
Onion
Salt

How to make with blender machine:
Fry chopped onion until it become light brown.
Blend fried onion and chili.
Adding salt and mix it, then serve it ^^

How to make with cobek and ulek-ulek:
Fry chopped onion until it become light brown.
Use cobek and ulek-ulek to blend chili, fried onion, and salt.
You can serve it directly on the cobek ^^

BACT Opening Ceremony

August last year I joined Summer School Programme in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. The programme name  was BACT (Biodiversity, Agriculture and Culture in Taiwan). I wanted to share my experience in Taiwan here with you all. The first day started with introduction and welcoming from BACT Lecturer. Every participant was seated in the bench with name tag on it. So I quickly scanned the room and searching for Rizky Trisna Putri name tag on the desk. This name tag on the table help us a lot to recognize all the participant name. I was so happy that I got a nice souvenir because I can guess who is the first inisiator of BACT. They gave us a very nice and soft cake. They also provided us with dairy product of NTU. I love milk so much. I prefer cow milk than soybean milk (They give us both). Nevertheless I like it all the snack that given to us.
