First Day in Taiwan

July last year is the first time I step my feet in Taiwan. I was so happy and excited for the next 30 days I will spent a great journey in Taiwan. I arrived at 11 am in Taoyuan International airport. Even though the airport is not as grand as Changi Airport, Singapore but it still have wonderfull structure that you can easily enjoy.

There are also some mini stone structure. Actually I want to find out what is this but I dont have time to read them because the student from National Taiwan University (NTU) who picked us already waiting. I am not alone in this journey because there are other student Heder from Indonesia and Clara from Singapore that have the same flight as me. After clearing the immigration I met Ben outside and he told us that we need to move in the other gate to get Yu jeong student from Korea. Ben also help us to get taiwan simcard for our smart phone so we can stay in touch.

The airport building is in modern architecture and also decorated with excelent stuff.

After that together we fo to our apartment building. My room is comfortable and spacious, even better than my dorm room in Indonesia. It has a big closet that I believe five people can go inside, a mini refrigerator, air conditioner, a bed, and table plus chair for study. The toilet inside the room is clean and we can adjust the shower wether we want hot or cold water. In the afternoon Ben take us to meet the other student who already arrived before us to meet at a dimsum restaurant.

My order is just classic dimsum. I dont know what exactly the ingredient but my Taiwan friends assure me it does not contain pork. Don’t expect me to understand the name or the ingredient because I am not familiar with Chinese language >_< It tasted good though..

After eating dimsum and get to know each other, Ben help us to shop for our daily needs. I do bought a lot stuff also toilet stuff like shampoo, soap, tooth paste, tissue, etc because if I buy in Indonesia it will take room in my suitcase and make it heavier. Furthermore I do want to try Taiwan stuff, if I calculate it the price is not that much different and I do have sharp eyes on looking for discount stuff ^_^

So this is my toilet stuff for the next 30 days in Taiwan. Can’t wait for the first day in class tomorrow...

See you on next post.. XOXO..

BACT Opening Ceremony

August last year I joined Summer School Programme in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. The programme name  was BACT (Biodiversity, Agriculture and Culture in Taiwan). I wanted to share my experience in Taiwan here with you all. The first day started with introduction and welcoming from BACT Lecturer. Every participant was seated in the bench with name tag on it. So I quickly scanned the room and searching for Rizky Trisna Putri name tag on the desk. This name tag on the table help us a lot to recognize all the participant name. I was so happy that I got a nice souvenir because I can guess who is the first inisiator of BACT. They gave us a very nice and soft cake. They also provided us with dairy product of NTU. I love milk so much. I prefer cow milk than soybean milk (They give us both). Nevertheless I like it all the snack that given to us. They give us a black bag and in the inside there are a lot of usefull thing like raincoat, cap, bug sprayer, note, guid...
