Mount Halimun Salak National Park (Curug Kondang)

Last holiday my friends and I were camping at Mount Halimun Salak National Park. Me, Camping! In the middle of nowhere with the tent, bonfire and all?! Of course not, hahaha..

Can you spot me?

The picture may fool you, none of us was actually sleeping at the tent. We rented a villa (Betawi Villa) and leaving the tent outside. FYI there are a lot of villas to rent inside the national park. It really refreshing to be out there in nature and have clean air to breath. As a true tropical climate citizen who uses to hot weather the water was freezing cold for me. The air was refreshing though also to cold for my liking. There were a lot of trees and not so many lamps it

Yes, we did have fun hanging out here. It always nice to take time out of our daily routine and going somewhere with friends. The main attraction of this journey is that I can spend more time enjoying myself, met new friends, visiting the waterfall (Curug). There are a lot of small waterfalls here.

I visited Curug Kondang. Kondang means famous... We need to pay a ticket to enter the Curug. It only IDR 5.000 very cheap. The way going to Curug is near and not dangerous, I guess that's one of the point why this one is famous. The way also reminds me of Taroko National Park in Taiwan.

It really beautiful. After we arrived at the waterfall it not so high the water is clean and refreshing. The trees are green and become a nice background. After about 10 minutes we arrived there are about 50 children coming to the waterfall. The situation becomes way more crowded. So we decide to going back to the villa earlier than expected. It only 10 minutes walking from Betawi Villa to Curug Kondang.

Even though it was crowded we were not worried because there was a post-rescue that will help the visitors in case of emergencies. In the post there was lifebuoy,  and the guard was standing by. I did think we could spend more time here but too many people visiting and we all tired because we only sleeping about 2-3 hours the night before.

Me facing the waterfall

For you who wait for the picture of the waterfall, you may disappointed because I won't post it :p I want you all to come here in Curug Kondang and see it by yourself. The beauty of it can't be described by a picture. The picture can't do justice for it.

I love to share with you, and even better if I can get feedback from you ^_^
Don't hesitate to leave comment. See you on next post.. XOXO..

BACT Opening Ceremony

August last year I joined Summer School Programme in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. The programme name  was BACT (Biodiversity, Agriculture and Culture in Taiwan). I wanted to share my experience in Taiwan here with you all. The first day started with introduction and welcoming from BACT Lecturer. Every participant was seated in the bench with name tag on it. So I quickly scanned the room and searching for Rizky Trisna Putri name tag on the desk. This name tag on the table help us a lot to recognize all the participant name. I was so happy that I got a nice souvenir because I can guess who is the first inisiator of BACT. They gave us a very nice and soft cake. They also provided us with dairy product of NTU. I love milk so much. I prefer cow milk than soybean milk (They give us both). Nevertheless I like it all the snack that given to us. They give us a black bag and in the inside there are a lot of usefull thing like raincoat, cap, bug sprayer, note, guidance
