Its A Boy Girl Thing movie review

Well allow me to apologize first because I said I will be uploading a new post every Thursday and I'm not making new post last Thursday. The reason is I finished writing for last week post on Wednesday but I completely forgot to upload it on Thursday. No worries next post is still on Thursday.


Still at this flowery month I will continue to write movie review. This is a teenage movie with teenage problem. One a very recommended movie to watch because teenage drama is always delicious..

Cerita berawal dari tokoh utama yang bertetangga, kamarnya berhadapan pula. Neil (Samaire Armstrong) tipikal cewek pinter yang cupu gitu dan nggak bisa belajar gara-gara tetangga yang ribut banget ternyata Woody (Kevin Zegers) nyetel musik keras banget. Trus mereka jadi ribut unyu gitu. Woody merupakan kapten football dan punya pacar kapten cheerleader Breanna (Typical teenage drama banget).

Mereka siswa tahun terkahir dan lagi mempersiapkan diri untuk masuk Universitas. Neil ingin masuk Harvard dan mendapat undangan interview akhir minggu ini sementara Woody juga ingin kuliah melalui jalur beasiswa yang mungkin bisa dia dapatkan kalo dia tampil cemerlang di game football yang akan dilaksanakan akhir minggu juga.

Berantem di depan Patung

Cerita mulai dari ketika mereka mengunjungi museum. Disana mereka berantem di depan patung dewa raja sihir Aztec kuno Texcatlipoca. Keesokan harinya mereka bertukar tubuh, Neil terperangkap di tubuh Woody sementara Woody berada di tubuh Neil. Bisa ditebak mereka saling menyalahkan.

Plot semakin seru ketika Neil sebagai Woody memutuskan Breanna (Brooke D’Orsay) dan Woody membalas dendam dengan berkata dia akan membuat Neil nggak perawan lagi karena dia akan kencan dengan Nick. So pasti Neil sedih banget, tanpa Neil sadari ternyata Woody nggak sanggup berhubungan sama Nick karena dia ngerasa itu “gay” banget karena meskipun badan Neil “isinya” kan Woody dan Woody cowok tulen, akhirnya dia kabur sebelum mereka bener2 berhubungan badan.

Besoknya kabar tentang Neil yang udah nggak perawan lagi menyebar ke seluruh sekolah, Woody ngaku kalo nggak terjadi apa-apa semalam, tapi Neil tetap sebel dan meminta Woody untuk mengklarifikasi hal itu karena kabar itu udah terlanjur menyebar. Woody menyanggupi dan menghampiri Nick, tetapi Nick menyepelekan karena Woody berada dalam tubuh Neil dan Nick sama sekali nggak terintimidasi. Tiba-tiba aja Neil datang dan langsung nonojok Nick, dia minta Nick untuk minta maaf dan klarifikasi yang sebenernya. Dari situ Woody dan Neil sadar meskipun Neil terperangkap dalam tubuh Woody tapi tubuh Woody masih punya kemampuan atletis yang bisa digunakan.

Dari situ Woody meminta Neil untuk latihan footbal sementara Neil meminta Woody untuk menggantikan dia wawancara di Harvard. Akhirnya mereka latihan dan belajar bareng. Yang paling gemes adalah liat acting Kevin Zegers yang jadi feminin banget, asli sampek sekarangkalo lihat Kevin Zegers masih kebayang muka femininya >_<

Well as expected, mereka akhirnya saling tertarik. Tapi waktu akhirnya mereka kembali ke tubuh masing-masing Neil malah mergokin Woody lagi ciuman sama Breanna (agak maksa sih scene nya). Endingnya menurutku cukup OK, over all meskipun ketebak endingnya tapi tetep worth watch kok. Romantis dan nuansa remaja nya dapet banget. Emang worry masalah kuliah, worry masalah pacar, worry masalah temen/geng itu wajar banget dialami remaja.

Weekend Travel around NTU Campus

Today is a holiday. I explore place around the dorm in holiday. I like the architecture here. And I found a tiny area for children to play. The children can play happily here. In Taipei, most of the citizen living in apartment, they don't have their own garden. This public space for children is very useful. This is very nice. The child plays happily Even though I do a solo travelling but I feel safe because the neighbourhood is not crowded. My destination is Taipei Grand Mosque. I search on google map it is not far from the dorm. So I go there and planning to pray there. Taipei Grand Mosque It is not as big as I imagine considering Indonesia grand mosque is so big with 10 floor. The mosque only has 2 floors but it is clean and comfortable. I pretty impress because there are a lot of people in the mosque. Apparently, there is someone die. In Muslim rules if there is someone die then at least 40 people should pray for the corpse and wishing he has a pleasant...

Mount Qixing Taiwan

Today we will hike Mount Qixing. I am so excited because I only hike Mount Bromo before. When we arrived, first we se a very nice movie in a mini theater. I really like the animation and the movie help us understand about the volcano. The movie tell us about how volcano and eruption happen. After that we start to hike. There is Mr. Woody that from time to time stop to explain about some plants and bugs we encounter during our walk. I am the last one that coming. Thanks for Jack and Sinmin that help me a lot during the hiking. Even though I am so tired to hike I can’t help but put a wide smiley face when we take picture. It is actually a very nice experience because I don’t think I will do it if I am not join BACT. Eventhough my pace is very old lady like Jack and Sinmin always keep my motivation high.
