Sultan Mosque in Singapore

My second time in Singapore was very brief. I only transit in Changi Airport for 12 hour but I determined to make the most of it. My friend Joshua recommend me to have a nice breakfast near Sultan Mosque. He knows I am muslim so he recommend restaurant that provided halal food. I had breakfast at Zam Zam restaurant, I order murtabak and eat with Sultan Mosque as my scenery and it was awesome!!!

Actually Zam-Zam Restaurant is behind the mosque but the scenery is awesome and the murtabak is delicious. The best part of eating here is I don't need to worry whether or not the food is halal food because the owner is obviously muslim. I choose chicken murtabak and it had a big portion so it can be for 2-3 people.

I had breakfast and waiting Clara and Joshua. These two will take me to explore Singapore and playing tourist for the day and I will forever grateful for that because the best thing in experience traveling in someplace if you get to travel with local people. They know where to go and enjoy and you will not go to tourist trap. Lets go to Sultan Mosque!!!

But before that, on the way to Sultan Mosque you will see the art and painting. Absolutely gorgeous and a good place to stop and taking pictures.

The picture below is the front door of the mosque. In Islam religion women have to cover all parts of their body except their face and hands. But, don't worry about your attire because they will give you clothes that will cover your body during your visit in the mosque.

Inside the mosque is not only place for Muslim people praying but also some posters that tell you more about Islam. So you not only watch the beautiful architecture but also learn more about this beautifull religion.

The place for praying is divided for men and women. Women place to pray (sholat) is upstairs. It is very nice because we can enjoy the peaceful environment form the upstairs. But non muslim people can not go to pray area.

See on the picture showing a man that praying downstairs. Next is my picture in front of the mosque. Giving peace sign with my hand because Islam is peaceful religion and we always praying for the world peace.

The best part of visiting Sultan Mosque is you can shop for souvenir in front of the mosque. Tips: you can bargain for the price or ask for discount ^_^ I wish you all can visiting Singapore and this mosque too soon.

See you on next post.. XOXO..
