Photo Shoot Jawa Traditional Concept

Two years ago my house mate ask me if I want to try a photo shoot with Jawa Tradiotional concept. And without thinking further I said YES! This picture already at my instagram account (@rizkytrisnaputri) sfor two years. While cleaning some space in my laptop I found this album, so why not I share about our photo shoot moment. Mbak Yani, Inez, Widya, and I going to this cafe + photo studio (ig : @cakkoesresto) at afternoon after making appointment. We go in the rain with motorcycle, it was hard but we all are excited!

When we arrived we going to a room when we can changeour clothes to kebaya. Kebaya here is not some fancy kebaya that Indonesian people use to attend party, but more simple and look alike with what the people in the village wear. As you know we ladies not only change clothes but also doing our make up, it takes about an hour for us to get ready. Luckily there was no one that will take photo shoot tonight so they give us leniency in dressing time.

After that we go to photo studio and meet our photographer. He smile to us and direct us to pose. I did think he was very patient because everytime he take picture my friends and I always want to take a look at the results. He also preparing the props and background. He also said we will do three scene today.

This is the first stage we all act as Jawa ladies who gather at the kitchen and chat. In Jawa village some will do activity swapping the rice to make sure the rice is clean and there were no small stone in the rice. In this scene we all look surprise because she flipping the rice too high. By the way behind the scen in this photo the rice is actually spilling and went all over the studio. The photographer told us that its okay and we should continue our photoshoot and he will taking care or the cleaning.

After he cleans the floor from the rice, he arranged our next scene. This one is my favourite. Yes we will act as Jawa ladies that gathering around making batik (Traditiona clothes pattern from jawa), doing the sewing, and folding the clothes. This scene is highly relate with the situation in Jawa village. I also chose this scene to take my solo picture.

This picture is already become my profile picture in WA and Ig for two years, but I still love it. I’m rom East Jawa and my Mom is a true Jawa ladies. I was proud of my heritage. The next scene was the most fun one. By this time our spirits was high because we all happy we with the picture that already taken.

The scene is about Jawa ladies that playing and dancing with the instrument of Jawa traditional music equipment. We genuinely happy with the photo shoot session so the smile in our lips was natural smile. After that we take picture with our personal smartphone. We change clothes and went home ater that. The sad part is now all of my friends is already move out because they got a job or find another house, but I hope our friendship will stay ^_^

See you on next post.. XOXO..
